About Us

Hello folks! Let me graciously welcome you to my Grooming Lab - your final destination for practical, honest and authentic hair grooming advice that actually helps!

In case you’re wondering who I am - my name is Nafiur Ahmed and I’ve been indulging in hair clippers for almost the past decade. I am inspired by authenticity, and I choose to spread it regarding everything I come across.

I started Nafi’s Grooming Lab as a safe space for haircut enthusiasts, helping them cut to the chase - no fluff or paid content, rather practical hair styling insights on various hair clippers and their tutorials! This site is like my baby, a personal passion project and I feel obligated to keep it that way - honest and independent.

Mission Statement

The mission for Nafi’s Grooming Lab is to bridge the gap between fluffed marketing and real-life experience of using the most user-friendly hair clipping devices.

Implying, I will call out even the biggest names in the industry if need be, so that my readers are able to make an informed decision regarding their purchase to make it worthwhile.

What Nafi’s Grooming Lab Does

My platform aspires to achieve the following aims:

  • Share personal hair grooming experiences - including disappointments and mistakes.

  • Offer brutally honest reviews of hair clippers, uninspired by freebies or sponsorship. If you see me calling something good, it would solely be because the product has earned that.

  • The three ‘E’s - Render grooming enjoyable, effective and easy!

How I Test the Hair Clippers

While each of the hair clippers go through scrutiny in my hands, let me break down my ethical grounds of each test:

  • I Buy the Products Myself. I’m not dependent on or looking for handouts.

  • I Dive Head-first. From durability to daily life advantages and setbacks, I cover every ground.

  • I Compare. To better understand a hair clipper, you’ll often see me comparing it with other similar devices, on aspects like efficiency, comfort, versatility etc.

  • Keeping it Real. My contents are not ‘marketing’ contents. If it’s good, I’ll tell you. If it’s not good enough, I’ll tell you that too.

My Contents Are NOT SPONSORED

Let me re-iterate - the contents on Nafi’s Grooming Lab are not sponsored in any capacity. The products I review have been purchased with money out of my own pocket.

Some of these hair grooming products are ones that I’ve owned for a long time and used personally. Others I purchased to test out their limits, to understand their worth and to inform the readers as authentically as possible.

What’s My Profit?

I have tons of hair clippers at my disposal, and at this point, doing a proper review of each would be an injustice to worldwide grooming enthusiasts.

You might be thinking of me to be some sort of saint, working this project as a charity. That’s actually not true - I do make some profit to keep my contents going.

After reading my review, if you feel that a hair clipping device resonates with your needs, purchasing it through my blog earns me a miniscule revenue.

Worry not! This revenue does not come from your pocket as an extra charge - rather it’s an automatic process that’s been endorsed for by the brand.

Nafi’s Grooming Lab - The Team

Let me introduce you all to my one man show, how I am responsible for this project and what motivates me to carry it on forward.

Nafiur Ahmed

Founder, Owner

Nafiur’s knack for dissecting hair clippers began when he first broke his cheap clipping tool and tried to fix it. He realized not all product quality matches their advertisement and it requires an honest man’s opinion to sort out the good ones from the bad. From that point on, Nafiur spent his free time investigating a wide array of hair clippers, from the cheapest to the priciest, for almost a decade. His fluency with words and knowledge of such products gave birth to his Grooming Lab. Other than grooming, Nafiur’s interests lie in photography, filming and self-development.
